The Non-Catholic Cemetery Of Rome

The Non-Catholic Cemetery is an intense place, off the tourist route, and out of time.

It’s part garden, part monumental cemetery, with an ancient history. Definitely a hidden gem, even though it’s in the middle of one of the busiest areas of Rome – yet with a silent and full of atmosphere.

The English Romantic poets, Keats and Shelley and the Beat Generation poet Gregory Corso are buried here, along with many other past personalities.

This drawing session aims at conveying the atmosphere of this place through sketching, watercolors, and listening to the words of the poets, blending together architecture, nature, art and writing.

We can even arrange for a professional English-speaking actor to read and interpret the poems during the drawing session, to intensify the experience. Please enquire about prices for this exceptional feature!
