The Third Rome: from Fascist to Contemporary in EUR

“The Third Rome” is the phenomenon that followed the “first” Rome of the empire, and the “second” Rome of the popes. It is located in the area of EUR, a modernist zone planned and started during the Fascist regime.

Its construction continued after the war and fascism ended, and some parts were only completed after 2000.
